Lucie Pivoňková - director

Lucie lived in London for 2 years, after finishing grammar school where she studied English and worked as an au-pair. In 2006, she graduated from the Master’s Program at the University in Pardubice with an emphasis on English language teaching. During her studies, she obtained a lot of experience in teaching pre-school and school-aged children. Up until 2008, she obtained management and client care experience. Since 2008, she has worked as an director of Bambíno, and newly takes care of the project of the Primary school Square.

Tomáš Trnka - co-owner

Before he started to devote his time to pre-school children, Tomáš had been working in the area of development as a sales and project manager. In 2005, he became a member of higher management in the developers’ group, where he was mainly in charge of PR and human resources. Since 2008, Tomáš has been devoted to the Bambino, newly also to the Primary school Square.

Veronika Pavlíčková - client care

Veronika was born in Kladno, where she studies and graduated  from hight school, field public-law. In Bambíno Veronika takes care of clients and the smooth operation in our office. As she likes children, she is really satisfied working in the cheerful environment of our kindergarden.

Veronika Petrová - client care

Veronika comes from Moravia where she studied tourism. Because she loves working with people, big and small, and also she likes numbers and tables she find the great combination of those in Bambíno office. In a free time she likes reading a good book or paint.

Magdalena Nedvědová - teacher in the kindergarten

Magda has studied Faculty of physical exercising and sport in Prague and after finishing her studies she was doing sport professionally. Then she has moved to Great Britain where she has spent eight years and apart of working at the elementary school she has raised her two kids there. Now she’s living with her family in Prague and she has started working at our kindergarten where she can apart of other activities help kids with English and make them happy playing the piano.

Kateřina Pálková - teacher in kindergarten

Before coming to Bambíno, Katka graduated from a secondary pedagogical school with focus on preschool pedagogy and got much experience in various kindergartens in Moravia (where she comes from). Katka has quickly convinced us of her qualities, therefore in 2012 she became a headteacher. 

Liza Dysch - teacher in kindergarten

Originally from Manchester, UK, Liza moved to Prague in March 2016 with the intention of completing her TEFL qualification and spending some time in the Czech Republic as an English teacher. With a background in theatre, and a degree in Theatre and Performance, she has led several drama based workshops and has directed many groups of young children, learning skills which greatly lend themselves to teaching young learners along the way. She has also gained experience with children through a summer spent working at a children’s theme park and through volunteering at her parent’s primary school back in the UK. Liza enjoys reading, travelling and listening to music in her spare time.

Renata Capová - teacher in the kindergarten

Renata comes from a small village situated in the Brdské lesy forests. She has finished secondary vocational school – social and administrative activities. Then she had attended psychological seminars in the duration of one year, afterwards she started her study at the Jan Amos Komensky University, where she graduated in the field of Special Pedagogy – Education. She has an eleven years younger brother, who was often babysat by her since his childhood. During her study, she had been working in various families as a babysitter and in kid camps. She likes working with children and she feels it very satisfying. She speaks English actively, Russian passively, and she can communicate in the sign language. She likes reading, playing ping-pong, and swimming.

Karolína Vidovič - teacher in kindergarten

Karolina is coming from Slovenia. She was studying preschool education as She always loved working with children. During her studies She was already working with children as an animator. After She has finnished She decided to come to Prague where She spend a year working with children with special needs. As She really enjoyed living in Prague She decided to stay longer and for the past 3 years She was working in Bambino Vinohrady where She has grown and learned a lot. In her free time She like reading books and travelling.

Iva Voráčková - teacher in the kindergarten

Iva was born in Prague. She graduated from College of travel and tourism. After a year of working in a travel agency she decided to move to UK to improve her english. In the end she was living in UK for 6 years and was working as an au-pair and a nanny. She was also living for a year in New Zealand and Canada. Last 4 years she spent studying and working in Australia. She finished her studies with Diploma of Early Childhood education and care. While studying she was also working in a day care. Iva returned to Prague in December 2016.

Tereza Hodinová - teacher in mini-kindergarten

 After the secondary school studies Tereza attended the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, degree programme in French and Latin. Then she started teaching French, translating and interpreting. Tereza has three children and came to Bambino after her maternity leave. She loves children, music, artcrafts and reading books.

Eda Šípek - teacher in the kindergarten

Eda comes from Hradec Králové and graduated from higher vocational school with focus on preschool education. Previously he played in a travelling theather visiting kindergartens and schools for two years. He also graduated from the School of Applied Arts and did volunteer work with children from foster families and children´s homes. He enjoys choral singing, challenges and adventures.

Martina Koštálová - teacher in mini-kindergarten

Martina is from Žďár nad Sázavou, she graduated from a nursing school. She simultaneously worked as a babysitter while she was studying. After graduation, she worked full time as a babysitter and took care of two toddlers. After the children grew, she joined Bambino, where she is now taking care of the little ones. Martina is an active athlete. Shee plays basketball, floorball and futsal.

Nikola Rišková - teacher in the nursery

Nikola has graduated at the dancing conservatory and finished her preparatory study in psychology; she finished her conservatory study with diploma. She has been currently finishing her distance study at Ostrava University in Ostrava, in the field of Special Pedagogy. For two years she worked as a teacher in kindergartens and as a dance instructor in a dance studio. She has gained some experience during her internships in a foster home, in kindergartens, special kindergartens, and in a speech clinic.  Her hobbies include dancing, piano playing, snowboarding, and other sports.

Terezie Zachariášová - teacher in the nursery

Terezie graduated in social work technical school. She also studied to be a social pedagogue. Thanks to these two schools she got many new experiences. She used to worked as a teacher in a integration centre. Her largest experience was with physically and mentally disabled children. She was also interested in pre-primary education and worked in other nursery. Terezie´s hobbies are sports, making trips and photography.

Veronika Kubíková - teacher in the nursery

Veronika comes from Šumava. She has graduated from private High School of Josef Škvorecký. Since a little girl, she has been involved in signing and playing a flute. Before she started in Bambíno, she worked as a nanny for four years and she likes working with children very much. In spare time she likes going to country with her dog Ela, reading books, going to theatre and doing sports. Now she takes care of our littlest kids in Bambíno nursery.

Alena Hauptmanová - special education teacher and speech therapist

Alena has completed special pedagogy with specialization in learning disorders and speech therapy. For a long time, she has been engaged in intensive work with either disadvantaged or talented children. Within her leisure time activities and, especially, pedagogical advisory, she has been working on personal development both of children and adults. In Bambíno, she has been assisting in the complex development of children and in putting new educational methods into Bambíno practice. She likes theatre and music. She spends her leisure time travelling or devouring stories of any kind.

Sylvie Stretti - consultant in psycho-social issues

For many years she has been working with children in different situations which include psycho-social fields, such as, development, crisis, family as well as therapeutic. For more than ten years she worked with children in crisis situations, she cooperated educationally for NNO, various firms and at Charles University here in Prague. At Bambíno she will participate in the creation of courses for teachers, which will help them solve difficult situations that children‘s groups can go through. She will also help with new ways of communication when children find themselves in a demanding transitional development period. Why Bambíno? Because this is a Kindergarten that is interested in the children and where children are viewed as a part of a family system. Because a child is a friend in Bambíno and because there are many nice people here.

Marcela Blahotová - kitchen keeper

In Bambíno Marcela prepares tasty and healthy snacks for our children and serves lunch. Besides that she helps to keep our kindergarten clean and sweet-smelling. She likes to work in the terase garden and grow fresh herbs for our snack.

Václav Brandtl - driver

Vašek has got twenty-years in passenger’s transport. He has provided a transport of students to an international school in Nebušice for a while. He is a caring father of three offspring, he has a great patience with children and he cares of their safety and comfort. Nowadays he is providing transport of our children to the kindergarten and home, he cares of them like of his own children and he really enjoys working with them.

Dina Kaminska - cleaner

Cleaness and hygiene are two of the most important things in the nursery and kindergarden - well, Dina is the right person to take care of it.

Jan Trnka - facility administrator

Honza´s daily responsibility is to take care of Bambínos’ buildings and gardens. If you see him at Bambíno, he will probably be carrying a screwdriver or a drill. All adults at Bambíno are happy to have someone skillful at our kindergarten. The children just love to watch Honza working and often want to help.

Zuzana Sahligerová - manager of educational projects

Zuzka is from a family of teachers and since she was youg she has been interested in English. English is now one her main hobbies and she has tried it in various forms – from travelling, interpreting and translating through teaching up to managing a language school where she found that she enjoys working with children. After graduating from the University of Economics in Prague she moved back to Slovakia for a while. After returning to Prague she joined our team as a board assistant.

Klára Uličná - external pedagogical consultant

After finishing a programme for general nurses at a secondary medical school, Klára went to Great Britain where she lived and worked as an au-pair and a teacher´s assistant in a kindergarten for almost 2 years. When she came back she studied at the University of Pardubice and continued in a PhD. programme at Charles University. Presently she works at Charles University in a programme for future English teachers and cooperates with us on many Bambíno projects.
